Dr. Tim Long’s Story

I think it is important for everyone to use their abilities and powers to help others. The people who know me would probably categorize me as a “fighter for the underdog.” That is a title that I would genuinely accept. My fundamental mission in life has been to be an educator and a businessman. Most importantly to me, I never wanted to lose focus of the fact that I am an elementary teacher at heart. My story is simple. I have a real desire to help change the world. The people who you see on the pages of our website are doing great things in their own right. Our connections come from the belief that we really do represent vast areas of the world. Our social and political connections have brought us together in a way that could help many if we are given the opportunity to do so.
My life has been transformed from being a small town Indiana boy, to being the Superintendent of a large urban school corporation, and finally to standing on the Great Wall of China and wondering how in God’s name did anyone ever build something of this magnitude! If it was possible in time to do something this wondrous, isn’t it possible for us to work together to bring encouragement and education to others that are less fortunate.
When I went to the village of Pang Liu outside of Xi’an, China, I saw where a school had once stood. I was amazed at the fact that the children were still very happy and studying in what amounted to some very temporary classrooms. Richard Wang, our tour guide and local philanthropist, told me about his struggles as a youth in the village. His story is compelling, and it gave me great impetus to build our first “children’s palace” in the village. It will be one of our first projects in China, and be done in conjunction with the village and Richard.
I believe that each of you can have a part in history. Our combined mission is an easy one of spreading education to those less fortunate. We believe in the power of many. With your support, we can all: Change the World!

Our Mission

Our mission is to help bring quality education to underprivileged areas of the world by empowering the local people with the necessary resources to teach their children the English language, and basic economics.

We will accomplish our mission through the following programs:

• Helping to construct or build facilities when applicable.
• Provide and or support English speaking teachers to help teach disadvantaged students
• Provide a micro-loan program to individuals in areas of our schools to help with economic stimulation.
• Provide global guidance for Character Education.

How is your Money Spent?

91% of your money will go toward our core initiatives of supporting educational or loan programs.
4% will be used for travel for trips to locations.
5% will be used for administrative costs.
